From Fruita, CO
We had such an enjoyable day here. We were on the hunt for information on John's great-uncle, James Gentry. We were able to get his death certificate & an obituary - he died in 1929 at Delta Hospital but he lived about 25 miles north of there in Cedaredge, CO. On the way up to that town we went by this place in Eckert, a teeny, tiny town but they had this ....... !!!!!!
The people who make the chocolates also collect old cash registers ... the wife hunts them down & the husband restores them, then displays them in their shop. There must be 50 in there!

This is the oldest one - 1890.
And this ..... is the fudge & chocolate part of the shop. So many to choose from. I didn't get near enough! Just look at my meager little pile!!!!
