Since this is our last day in Pecos and I hadn't been to the Childrens Zoo yet, I made a visit this morning. All of the compounds had chain link fences around them so it was difficult to get pictures. But I found if I used my zoom and pointed it through one of the openings (and the animal was at the other end of the pen) I could get some pretty good head shots.
However, the Cat (mountain lion or cougar??) did not cooperate & would not move back from the fence. She was very busy gnawing on her morning bone!
Now what would a "
Texas Zoo" be like without some
Texas Longhorns as residents??!! Answer: it just wouldn't be a "
Texas" zoo!!
