We stumbled onto this little cafe in town ... I say stumbled because there's no sign saying it's a cafe but we kept seeing alot of cars in front and one day the door was open & it looked like tables with people sitting at them, so we peeked in. Sure enuf it was a cafe that seats about 30. They have specials every day (open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or you can order sandwiches. We had cubed steak (real steak) with gravy, REAL mashed potatoes, corn or beans, bun, a drink and .... home-made peach cobbler with ice cream. All for $6.95. So gooooooood. Also, in the cafe we asked one of the patrons for directions to one of the cemeteries we were having a hard time finding. He happened to know all about the area & spent about an hour talking cemeteries with us!! And he's also a "witcher" and locates bodies in old cemeteries and he's been asked to do just that many times. We exchanged cards and his said his name is "Texas Red" and he's a "Texas Gunslinger"!! Interesting fellow.
