New Mexico ... into Texas

We made a favorite stop at a favorite store in Alamagordo, NM ... Eagle Ranch Pistachios. Bought a basketful, too.

Got across the Texas border & had RV troubles - a high pressure hose burst. When we stopped & John checked it out (under the step), he had me turn the engine on so he could see where the leak was coming from ... bad idea!! It's that fitting right in the middle & it shot oil straight up, not down & we had red oil on the roof, on the walls, on the rugs, on the chairs!!! A repair truck came to where we were & got that one fixed.

Then 60 miles farther & we had another burst, so we ended up backtracking to El Paso to get it fixed right. Took 3 days but we're on the road again.

Had my birthday during this time & indulged in my favorite DQ treat!

We're parked in a campground in Van Horn, TX & we photographed the city cemetery here, about 1300 pictures. A really nice tree shaded & these lovely rose bushes.

We usually went early in the mornings before it got hot & before the wind came up. It was so nice to hear the birds - dozens of birds because there were so many trees. A couple of love doves watched us for awhile.
