Some Illinois pics .....

This is looking out our motorhome door. I thot the clouds looked like they could have tornadoes hanging down from the edge!!! But none materialized.
This is how we got to one of the cemeteries we just did here - in the back of this pickup truck! We weren't really prepared to "hunt" (note: my thong shoes) but we don't ever pass up an opportunity when it knocks ... and this farmer was willing to take us "right now"! That's John's niece with us.

This is the kind farmer & John ... almost there ... it's in those trees a little ways.

.... and here it is. Can't really see any stones since the grass is so high & they were all old stones that had toppled & were flat on the ground. The oldest burials were 2 children - 3 & 5 yrs old who died in 1840. And the last burial was in 1887 ... so this is a very old family cemetery. We found a total of 19 stones.

The newest member of the Loy family - he's 3 weeks old and cute as a button!! lots of black hair.
John doing some "witching" for graves. Just a test drive to see if it works for him & it did. Didn't work too well for me. The gentleman who made the rods can do it really well.
