Licensed ... finally!
Finally got out of Tucson and got the motorhome licensed in Blythe, CA. It ended up being a 2-day hassle. The DMV needed to see the sticker for emission & we couldn't find it anywhere on the engine - called Beaudry, called Ford, called the 800 number - they all said it should be on the engine. The little gal at DMV (bless her heart!) wasn't going to give up and she finally spotted it by looking in the right front wheel well. There it was! They then took our $6,000+ check but informed us we also needed to have a CA smog check done! Only 2 places in Blythe could do that and one said he couldn't get the RV into the shop for it and the other guy was on 2 week vacation! So guess what we did ... drove it to Indio (about 75 miles) and the guy drove us right in ... then discovered his smog machine wasn't working right!! So he called the repairman who said he could come within the hour and he did and we were done in 15 more minutes! Back to Blythe and they gave us our license plates and away we went. Whew!!!
