It never ceases to amaze me what a person can find in areas that seem so ho-hum & desolate, if you just search a little bit!!! Has anyone watched "Postcards from Nebraska" that is shown on RFD-TV? If you haven't, you should once in awhile. We're still in Nebraska & today took a drive through Cottonwood Canyon that reminds me of "Postcards from Nebraska. 
This was where Ft. McPherson was - nothing left today of the fort.
This was part of the Pony Express Trail and where the wagon trains came through and where Indians lived & warred.
And where brave souls homesteaded & lived.
Every one has their own version of Heaven! John & I both remarked that out here and you wouldn't be making many trips to town & would probably get snowed in often in the winter.
