We found some very nice "live" people at 2 different cemeteries in TN. This sweet lady, Laura, & her husband were cleaning their relatives graves near Knoxville for "Decoration Day". She grew up just across the road from this cemetery but now lives in Knoxville. She said she used to play on this anvil in her neighbors yard when she was a little girl - sitting on the end & pretending it was a horse. The neighbor said when he died he wanted the anvil as his gravestone & that's what his family did.
John decided it was a good place to take a rest, too!!
The man on the left, Robert, and his son own this cemetery & were also cleaning it up for "Decoration Day". We stayed quite awhile listening to Robert's stories about some of the neighbors in this neighborhood near Luttrell & the history during the Civil War.
