| Spent a day at Organ Pipe Cactus Nat'l Monument. A wonderful day and beautiful, beautiful forest of cactus ... not many flowering, but beautiful nonetheless. |

| We did not realize how close we were to the Mexican border when we drove to Lukeville, just 5 miles from the Park. But there was a restaurant next to the border station ... on the American side, so we had a very good Mexican lunch there. |

| The town of Ajo on the way to the Park was a very quaint town with a good Museum. There was an open pit mine there that had been mined for over 80 years, but ceased operations in the 1980's. |
