Family time in Arkansas ....

We arrived in Harrison, Arkansas last week and Jack, Trudi & Sarah drove up from Texas. Then on Tuesday Barbara flew in from California and we spent a fun 3 days doing touristy things in the area. Barb arriving at the airport .....

Barb greeting her niece, Sarah .....

.... and her little (younger anyway) brother.

We went up to Branson & saw the Dixie Stampede - it was great. Mostly horses like a Wild West Show. It included supper and that was really, really good and all finger food: a cornish hen, a slice of pork roast, corn on the cob, 1/2 a baked potato, an apple turnover and all the coffee, iced tea or pepsi you wanted.

Then us gals rafted on the White River and Jack did some fishing. The current was pretty slow and a normal 3 hr raft ride took us 4 1/2 hours! My arms & legs were too short to do much paddling so I hung on the back of Jack's canoe with a strap!! I had a great ride!!

Jack has some property close by so we went there for a few hours so he could get some more fishing in. This natural spring creek runs alongside his property.

Pretty small but he was catching & releasing anyway.

Then we went thru some Caverns close by. Not real exciting but fun.
