This was a wonderful museum & is a must for everyone who comes this way. There is also old buildings set up to resemble a small old town. It was hard to decide which pictures to put on here.
This would have been fun to have - maybe the beginnings of the 1st NASCAR's??!!
Had to of course include the old hearse - a "grave-walkers" must!
John likes old rifles & guns.
He was in the market for a new broom to sweep off tombstones with - his is getting pretty ratty. And there was a working "broom" maker here. So we watched him make a broom & John bought one from him.
This was called a "Pioneer Pastime". You swing the big ring so it catches on the horseshoe nailed to the post. I got the hang of it pretty quick & made about 3 "ringers!!
