This Blog suffers so much once we get back home from our travels!! No postings. So I went back in my photos & picked out what we've been doing since we've been home. One of our last stops in NM and through Christmas.

This Route 66 sign was in Tucumcari, NM - one of our last stops before California.

In the beginning of November we drove over to Tecopah Hot Springs (450 miles from home) to meet my sister & husband for about 10 days. So we enjoyed the hot spring baths, ghost towns (even did a cemetery there), death valley, 49er Days at Furnace Creek.

We had quite a caravan for our desert trips - 3 other couples, friends of my sisters.

A highlight of the desert trips was the lunch in the open.

Some spectacular scenery along the way. This bend in the road had many, many flash floods go thru & wore quite a hollow on its way around the bend.

Relic & victim? of the desert.

We made a visit to Scotty's Castle. I had been there once before in the 70's & thoroughly enjoyed this 2nd visit.

We took in some of the annual 49'er Days of Death Valley in Furnace Creek. Here are the wagon trains coming into town.

Enjoying lunch while watching the parades.

Fall at our house - I've been calling it California "snow" after hearing & seeing pictures of everyone else's true white & cold snow!!

We spent Thanksgiving at my brothers & this is looking out their front window at frost on the ground.

Family around the festive & bountiful Thanksgiving dinner table.
