I can hardly believe we've been in Jerseyville for almost 3 weeks already!! First it was the whirlwind of the wedding. Then John & I got bad colds - mine wound up to be bronchitus so we were pretty much confined to the motorhome for a week. It was windy & rainy during that week so it wasn't too bad to stay in & "sleep"! Then there were about 4 days of beautiful weather & the farmers worked long hours to get as much corn in as possible. And now, today, it's Memorial Day & raining all day long again!! Yesterday, Sunday, we went to a "Strawberry Festival" close by with our friends, Bonnie & Ted & listened to the Harmon Family sing really good bluegrass. The Dad, Mike Harmon used to play banjo for Alison Krause when she was just beginning.
Enjoying the music. And I can't believe I didn't get pictures of us all eating strawberry shortcake!!!!!! It was really good, too - along with ham & beans or chicken & noodles. We had a very enjoyable day anyway.
